Senator Fuschillo: Department of Financial Services Staff Coming to Long Island This Week to Assist Superstorm Sandy Victims

     Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) is informing residents that New York State is deploying the Department of Financial Services’ Mobile Command Center to Long Island this week to help Superstorm Sandy victims with insurance claims, mortgage relief and other issues.

     According to the Department of Financial Services, the Mobile Command Center will be at the following locations:

     Thursday, October 31st

     9 am to 5 pm

     Freeport Memorial Library

     144 West Merrick Road, Freeport

     Friday, November 1st

     9 am to 5 pm

     Lindenhurst Memorial Library

     1 Lee Avenue, Lindenhurst

     Department of Financial Services representatives will be available to provide one-on-one assistance to residents and business owners in need. Individuals should bring with them copies of any insurance or mortgage documentation, payment records, or correspondence which may be helpful to Department of Financial Services staff in providing assistance.

     Residents and businesses who cannot attend these programs but still need assistance can contact the New York State Department of Financial Services’ Disaster Hotline at 1-800-339-1759 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Mondays through Fridays.
