Senator David Carlucci (D – Rockland/Westchester), Ari Aufgang of Aufgang Architects and Brooker Engineering hosted a “Roof Topping Ceremony” for Suffern Building Works, a commercial plaza that is the largest new commercial investment on Main Street that the Village of Suffern has seen in years.

The lot, which has been vacant for over 60 years, will house 28 thousand square feet of state of the art office and retail space, and draw 80-100 employees to the Village of Suffern.

"We couldn’t be happier to take a quick break from construction to celebrate the milestone of topping off the structure at 74 Lafayette Avenue,” said Ari Aufgang, owner of Aufgang Architects. “This development marks the beginning of the resurgence of Main Street Suffern as a hub for business and commerce.  In addition to providing over 50 construction jobs and 80 full time jobs when occupied, we see this project as a symbol of what downtown revitalization can mean for beautiful villages like ours."

“Small business owners like Ari are the people who drive economic development and job creation in our community,” said Senator David Carlucci. “It’s an honor to celebrate this event with my good friend, and I look forward to seeing everything that Suffern Building Works has to offer the town of Suffern.”
