SENATOR CROCI CELEBRATES FIRST ANNUAL HISPANIC HERITAGE CEREMONY

Senator Croci Honors Hispanic Community Members in First Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Brentwood, NY –  On Friday, October 9th, New York State Senator Thomas Croci partnered with the Brentwood Public Library to host the first annual Hispanic heritage event to honor several notable members of the Hispanic community for their contributions to the 3rd Senate district.

“It is such a great honor to recognize members of our Hispanic community for their outstanding efforts on behalf of others and I am so proud to represent a district with such hardworking, dedicated and diverse communities full of pride in celebration of rich culture, heritage and traditions,” said Senator Croci.

"The library respects and honors the contribution of Hispanic culture throughout our community and we acknowledge the contributions and achievements of the individuals recognized by Senator Croci during his Hispanic Heritage event at the Brentwood Public Library.  We are especially proud of the accomplishments of our Assistant Director Xibelualka Solis for her hard work and dedication to Brentwood’s library patrons,” said Brentwood Public Library Director Thomas Tarantowicz.

The six honorees included Ms. Xibelualka Solis, Ms. Diana Quiroz, Mr. Brett Martinez, Mr. Serafim Maia, Mr. William Cruz and Ms. Daniela Ulloa.

The evening’s celebration also included a keynote speech by Mr. Louis Medina, program coordinator for juvenile residential facilities for the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, as well as performances by the Central Islip High School Concert Choir and the Diversity School of Dance and Fitness.
