Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with Town and County Highway Superintendents from his Senate District at the State Capitol. During their visit, the group discussed the need for additional funding for local roads and infrastructure in the 2016-2017 State Budget, as part of the Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS). This important funding will help local governments meet their infrastructure needs, without raising taxes on New York’s hardworking taxpayers.

“A well-funded, well-maintained transportation infrastructure is critical for the safety and well-being of our residents and helps to create economic growth and opportunity in New York State,” said Senator Nozzolio. “As State Senator, I will continue my aggressive efforts to support the funding needed to keep our local roads, bridges and highways safe,” concluded Senator Nozzolio.
