José M. Serrano

November 3, 2017

Senator Serrano attended the Community Education Council 4 Annual Legislative Breakfast. Community Education Council for District 4 is one of the 32 Community Education Councils (CECs) in New York City and includes public elementary and middle schools in East Harlem. Senator Serrano joined Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer in addressing the crowd and then spent time speaking with principals, parents and teachers one on one.

“It was my pleasure to give remarks at the annual Community School District 4 Legislative Breakfast in East Harlem. It’s always great speaking with educators and parents while listening to their ideas and concerns. I appreciate the important opportunity to update our local schools on the work I’ve been doing in the Senate on behalf of students and public education.”
