Ranzenhofer Announces 2018 Family Health Fair

New York State Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer announced today that this year’s Family Health Fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th from 9 a.m. to noon at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 John James Audubon Parkway in the Town of Amherst.

Senator Ranzenhofer has organized the Health Fair for seven consecutive years.

“Erie County’s largest Family Health Fair offers free screenings and vital health information, and I am proud to provide these services to residents in our community. It is such a great opportunity to learn more about your health and start living a healthier lifestyle. I encourage residents to mark their calendars and stay tuned for more details about this year’s event,” said Ranzenhofer.

The event is sponsored by Kaleida Health and the Amherst Center for Senior Services, in conjunction with Assemblyman Ray Walter.

“We should all strive toward ensuring that every Western New Yorker has access to the educational materials and resources they need to live a long and healthy life. Each year, Senator Ranzenhofer’s Family Health Fair leads the way in these efforts, bringing our community’s residents and health providers together for an informative day of health-screenings, exams and lessons for individuals of all ages. I am honored to continue my partnership with this worthwhile endeavor, and I look forward to watching our community continue to benefit from this event for many years to come,” said Walter.

In 2017, over 1,000 residents attended the Family Health Fair to take advantage of 18 free screenings and services, as well as important information about over 20 health topics, from more than 85 organizations.
