SENATOR LANZA HOSTS ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY ESSAY CONTEST

Senator Andrew Lanza sponsored his annual Memorial Day Essay Contest, to recognize 5th grade students from throughout Staten Island for the exemplary work that they demonstrated in their essay submissions. 5th graders took part in this annual essay contest where each student submitted an essay that focused on the student's personal thoughts regarding what Memorial Day means to them. Teachers sent their students' completed essays to the office of Senator Lanza where a winner was selected from each participating school. Those selected were recognized at a ceremony on Friday, May 17, 2019 at IS 24.
