Metzger and Staff Joined By Constituents, Community Business Owners, and District Officials at Middletown Office Opening and Ribbon-Cutting

Middletown, NY...The office of Senator Jen Metzger (SD-42) welcomed 70 guests Friday evening during an open house at the Senator’s new Middletown District Office, located at 90 North Street.

Constituents and families, local business owners, and elected officials from around the 42nd Senate District toured Metzger’s newly occupied downtown Middletown office space in the former Green's Department Store building, and enjoyed food donated by several local business: 110 Grill, Chipotle, Indira's Kitchen, Olive Garden, Olivia's Empanadas and More, Outback Steakhouse, Something Sweet Dessert Café, Planet Wings, Texas Roadhouse, and Tony Boffa's Restaurant. 

Orange County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Lynn Allen Cione, Middletown 2nd Ward Alderman Jerry Kleiner, Middletown Business Improvement District President, Economic and Community Development Director, and Mayor DeStefano representative Maria Bruni, and Senator Metzger addressed attendees with celebratory remarks.

Senator Metzger said, “My staff and I are excited to relocate to the heart of downtown Middletown, a short walk from City Hall and easily accessible by city residents as well as by constituents visiting from other areas of the district. The economic renaissance already underway in Middletown is tangible from our 90 North Street office, and we are thrilled to be part of this vibrant community. Sincere thanks to the generous local restaurants who donated delicious food, and to all who joined my staff and I for this wonderful event."

City of Middletown Mayor Joseph M. DeStefano said, “Having Senator Metzger right in the heart of our city is a significant commitment to our community. This location provides ease of access for all of our residents as our downtown becomes more walkable and vibrant. We welcome Senator Metzger to Downtown Middletown and look forward to our continued partnership.”

Max Cordella, Metzger’s District Director / Deputy Chief of Staff, said, “Senator Metzger’s District Office opening was a fantastic opportunity for constituents to see that our staff is only a phone call away, and now, in the 90 North Street location, within walking distance for many.”

Senator Metzger’s Middletown district office has a full-time staff available to provide assistance to constituents. Regular office hours at the Middletown office are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During operating hours, constituents can call (845) 344-3311 to speak with a member of Metzger’s constituent services staff. Senator Metzger also operates a district office in Liberty, located at 59 N. Main Street, which can be reached at (845) 292-0215.
