“Over the past several years, I, along with Starpoint school officials, local government officials, and parents, have urged the State Department of Transportation to lower the speed limit surrounding the Starpoint complex. Today, I am pleased to announce that the State Department of Transportation has made the decision to lower the speed limit to 35 M.P.H. in the Starpoint school zone. This change in school zone speed demonstrates our commitment to the safety of our students traveling to and from the Starpoint campus. I would like to thank the State Department of Transportation as well as all those who helped make this change possible.”
