Today, Senate Republican Leader Rob Ortt recognized Tom’s Diner as his "Small Business of the Month" for April. Located on Main Street in the heart of Lockport, Tom’s Diner has been an anchor establishment since its founding in 2002.

“The COVID pandemic has been tremendously difficult on the small businesses of our state, especially family-owned establishments like Tom’s Diner,” said Sen. Rob Ortt. “However, Tom’s Diner never stopped looking out for others and continued to give back to those who were most in need. The selflessness of the owners and staff at Tom’s is commendable, and I thank all of them for being such great community partners.”

During the pandemic, Tom’s Diner was extremely involved in assisting the local community. They were active in helping feed the frontline workers at Eastern Niagara Hospital, preparing meals to go for families in need, and providing meals for the cafeteria staff at Lockport School District. They have also made it a priority to give back to our city’s first responders. Tom’s Diner also participates in community-wide charities, hosting a drop-off site for the Lockport Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive, sponsoring local youth sports teams, and participating in the annual Christmas Dinner Giveaway.

Tom’s Diner has a saying, “people walk in as strangers, but come back as family and friends.” This couldn’t be truer, and for this reason, Tom’s Diner is recognized as Sen. Rob Ortt’s "Senate District 62 Small Business of the Month."
