(Clifton Park) Senator Jim Tedisco celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Hockey Hut in Clifton Park by presenting the owners with the New York State Senate Empire Award, the Senate's highest award for small business.
The Hockey Hut was founded by Rick and Claudia Caruso in 1997 and has been owned by Ron Kuhl since 2007.
"The Hockey Hut is an amazing training facility for hockey players of all ages. I am proud to present the Hockey Hut with the NYS Senate Empire Award to recognize this very special silver anniversary of being in business in Clifton Park and Saratoga County for over 25 years -- quite an accomplishment," said Senator Jim Tedisco.
Joining Senator Tedisco at the event were Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh, Deputy Clifton Park Supervisor Anthony Morelli and the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce.
