Senator Liu to host Senior Appreciation Month Events

SENATOR LIU TO HOST SENIOR APPRECIATION MONTH EVENTS

Queens, NY – In celebration of Senior Appreciation Month, Senator John Liu is hosting two free special events for the northeast Queens senior citizen community. Flyers for each of these events are attached.

On Tuesday, September 27^th at the Glow Community Center, 133-29 41^st Avenue in Flushing, Senator Liu will join with community organizations for a Senior Social Mixer. This will be a fun-filled afternoon with food, games, activities and giveaways. Festivities will begin at noon and last until 2 p.m. The Social Mixer is being cosponsored by Glow Cultural Center, Tzu Chi Foundation, Flushing BID, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Dunkin Donuts, New York Young Arts, the Korean Soccer Association of New York, India Home, Floral Park/Bellerose Indian Merchants Association, Kiwanis Club of Douglaston, CAIPA, Empire BlueCross/BlueShield, Tiger Sugar, Flushing Ice Cream Factory, Con Edison, and Q Magic.
On Thursday, September 29^th from noon until 2 p.m., Senator Liu’s office is hosting a Pizza Party at Commonpoint Queens Bay Terrace Center & Pool Club, 212-00 23^rd Ave., Bayside. Attendees are asked to pre-register at https://bit.ly/JohnLiuPizzaParty or call 718-765-6675.
