Tedisco: “We Don’t Need a Philosopher as a Chief Judge…We Need a Judge That’s Learned of the Laws We Make…And Protects the Constitution”

ALBANY - - Senator Jim Tedisco spoke on the Senate Floor today in opposition to the confirmation of Judge Rowan Wilson as Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals.

Tedisco said that New Yorkers don’t need an activist “philosopher” as Chief Judge of the New York State Court of Appeals, but a justice who is learned of the laws passed by the legislature as a separate branch of government and adheres to the Constitution of the State of New York and United States of America.
