Senator Mannion Awards $150,000 to Village of Minoa for New Lewis Park Playground

VILLAGE OF MINOA, NY – Senator John W. Mannion today delivered $150,000 to the Village of Minoa for new equipment at the Lewis Park playground. Senator Mannion joined with Village officials and members of the community to cut the ribbon and officially open the playground to the public. 

Senator John W. Mannion said “Every community deserves great parks and playgrounds and I’m thrilled to help the kids in Minoa have brand new equipment to ride, swing, climb, and slide! The new playground at Lewis Park was one of my top funding priorities. I’m grateful for the strong cooperation between Village officials and my office to deliver this new playground for the community.”

William F. Brazill, Mayor of the Village of Minoa, said, “On behalf of the children of Minoa, we thank Senator Mannion for providing funding for new playground equipment that our children will enjoy for years to come.”

Funding the Lewis Park playground continues Senator Mannion’s commitment to the children and families of Central New York. Senator Mannion has helped make child care more accessible, expanded pre-k statewide, and worked to provide students at nearly every school district in New York with free meals to eliminate stigma and promote learning.
