Senator Lea Webb Hosts Community Health Resource Fair in Tompkins County
October 10, 2025
(Ithaca, NY)- On Tuesday, Senator Lea Webb hosted a Community Health Resource Fair in Binghamton at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center. The fair brought together community organizations focused on health and wellness to provide the public with information regarding the resources available to their families.
“The Tompkins County Health Fair is part of our ongoing commitment to advancing health equity across our region,” said Senator Lea Webb. “Far too many individuals and families face obstacles to accessing the care they need, whether due to cost, location, or lack of information. This event brings together organizations that are working to close those gaps and ensure that every resident, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to live a healthy life.”
Love Living at Home enjoyed connecting with community members and sharing resources for aging in place. Executive Director Thena Lindhorst states, “we were so grateful for the opportunity to table with other wonderful non-profits. We sincerely appreciate Senator Webb’s commitment to the Tompkins County community.”
In addition to health resources, the New York State Office of the Comptroller was also in attendance to bring awareness to their Unclaimed Funds program. “Senator Lea Webb’s Health Resource Fairs are a great way to bring valuable resources directly to the community, and we’re glad to participate and help people check for lost money,” said New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. “Every day, our office returns more than $2 million to New Yorkers, and events like these help us reach even more people. If you can’t make it to a fair, we encourage everyone to check online because anyone could have lost money from an old bank account, security deposit, gift card or estate. It’s always a privilege to work with Senator Webb, whose leadership and commitment to helping her constituents is making a real difference.”
Senator Webb’s constituent services team was on hand to assist community members with an array of issues, such as unemployment, health insurance, EBT/WIC/SNAP, and more.
Organizations taking part in the event included the Comptroller’s Office, Upstate New York Poison Center, Tompkins County Whole Health, Ithaca Youth Bureau, Human Services Coalition of Tompkins County, Reach, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Racker Center, Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services, Love Living at Home, Lifelong, Planned Parenthood Ithaca, Ithaca Free Clinic, Loaves and Fishes, Foodnet Meals on Wheels, Southern Tier Aids Program (STAP), Women’s Opportunity Center, Family & Children's Services, Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, Vaccination Conversations with Scientists, and the Advocacy Center.
