S557 Relates to designating the month of May as "Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month". AYE

S616 Relates to designating the month of May as "Korean American Family Month". AYE

S1664 COSPONSOR Amends the criminal procedure law, stating that following an arrest by a society for the prevention of cruelty to an animal officer, such officer shall be permitted access to the live scan fingerprinting system or similar technology.  AYE

S3071A This bill would create a task force on school transportation safety. It would have 18 total members. It would be responsible for studying and making recommendations on existing state laws and regulations and developing a plan to implement additional school bus and pedestrian safety measures. AYE

S1056 To direct the Division of Criminal Justice Services to provide criminal background checks to not-for-profit mentoring programs free of charge.  AYE

S6665 Allows an establishment within the City of Hudson located within two-hundred feet of a church, synagogue, or other place, of worship to be eligible to apply for a liquor license from the NYS Liquor Authority.  AYE

S2257 Extends the period given to a disabled applicant for, or recipient of, public assistance benefits to request a fair hearing on a determination of their ability to participate in work activities from ten days to sixty days or within sixty days of receipt of a work activity assignment. ) NAY

S2279 Excludes food sold to a student purchasing a meal using an approved donation program of funds or food points from sales tax.  AYE

S608 Requires the New York state thruway authority to submit biannual reports to the legislature of all fiscal transactions, receipts and expenditures, with each report covering activity from the prior six months. AYE

S4960 Extends the exemption from filing requirements only with respect to rates and policy forms to out of state businesses underwritten and transacted from an office outside this state. It allows insurers to take advantage of the Free Trade Zone regardless of whether they maintain a physical office in-state. AYE

S4780 This bill would amend section 239-nn of the general municipal law, to mandate that a legislative body of a municipality must give notice to an adjacent municipality, when a hearing is held by such body relating to the adoption or amendment of any zoning ordinance or local law or comprehensive plan, where such changes would affect a parcel or parcels that are within 500 feet of an adjacent municipality. NAY (Could stymie economic development efforts. Infringes on home rule.)

S6848 Directs the Department of Agriculture and Markets to increase the number of regional farmers' markets for the direct marketing of foods and produce produced in the state.  AYE

S3665 Amends the real property tax law to make buildings and structures used for the on-farm processing and retail sale of crops produced on-farm eligible for the state farm building tax exemption. AYE

S592 Establishes the New York state youth in agriculture and entrepreneurship summer employment program to provide students with the opportunity to be educated on the agricultural industry and alternative career paths and to provide agricultural work experience and entrepreneurship work experience.  AYE

S1529 Establishes a tax credit for farmers who maximize carbon sequestration potential through a "carbon farming" land management strategy; directs DEC to develop regulations related to certifying the amount of carbon sequestered or emissions reduced. AYE

S3204 Creates the offense of defrauding the government in the first degree (via the use of an automated sales suppression device to evade any tax owed to the state or a municipality) and expands the definition of conspiracy in the fourth degree; to include the aforementioned felony. Defrauding the government in the 1st degree is a class D felony and conspiracy in the 4th is a class E felony.  AYE

S4755 Establishes the farm ownership succession planning program to provide farm owners with a succession planning toolkit that can be used by such farm owners who plan on selling or closing their farm.  AYE

S4804 Establishes first responder safety zones. Outlines safety procedures to be implemented such as speeding limits, sign postings, proper order of right of ways, possible punishments, and when this would or would not apply.  AYE

S7120 Purpose is to amend vehicle and traffic and real property law relating to manufactured home certificates of title. Section 2 directs the commissioner to maintain documents related to applications for surrender of certificates of origin or title, and for confirmation of conversion and affidavits of affixation. Section 3, 5, 6, and 7 are amended to align with the real property law. Section 4 adds three new sections each creating procedures for surrendering certificate of origin, surrendering title, and for converting manufactured home to real property. Section 8 adds Article 9-E creating procedure for conveyances or encumbrances of a manufactured home. AYE
