Albany, NY--Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) and Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner (D-Round Lake) today honored the New York State Class C Champion Stillwater High School Girls Soccer Team by presenting them with legislative resolutions and honoring them at the state Capitol ( Click Link to Video Here or Below).

The Stillwater Girls Varsity Soccer Team and Head Coach Christine Ihnatolya won their final game on a 1-0 shutout to secure the New York State Class C Girls Soccer Championship on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Homer High School in Homer, New York, finishing their season with an impressive 22-1 overall record.

The Stillwater Girls Varsity Soccer Team, since 2018, has won four sectional titles, four consecutive Wasaren League titles, six New York State Final Four appearances and now, three NYS Class C Championship titles.

These scholar-athletes are also a New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete Team, as they garnered an overall Team Grade Point Average of 92.6.

“The Stillwater High School Girls Soccer team through their outstanding athletic accomplishment with capturing a state championship and by their equally incredible combined academic standing demonstrate that they truly exemplify the best of the best, and as I often say, illustrate that all great things emanate from the 44th Senate District!” said Senator Jim Tedisco.
