Tedisco - Walsh Welcome Clifton Park-Halfmoon Volunteer Fire Chief & Miss NY Volunteers to NYS Capitol

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) and Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) welcomed to the state Capitol Arthur "Artie" Hunsinger - a highly decorated, long-serving volunteer firefighter and former Chief of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Volunteer Fire Department, who also serves as the Miss New York Volunteer State Director, along with Miss New York Volunteer - Shannon Kelly, and Miss New York Teen Volunteer - Eliza Leszczynski.

The trio were recognized by Tedisco and Walsh for their dedicated efforts to promote volunteerism in the community, including in the volunteer fire services.

Shannon is the founder and president of The Self Care Promise Company, a 501 c (3) which provides education about the mental health aspects of practicing self-care and helps make self-care accessible to everyone through donations.

She is an American College Theatre Festival nominee, has been employed by New Circle Theatre Company, The Actor’s Studio, Museum of Modern Art, Nightmare Vermont; has been a Walt Disney World Cast Member, and aspires to be an Actor and Director.

Eliza is a six-time Presidential Volunteer Service Award Gold recipient; a recipient of the Lions Club Community Service Recognition Award; a National Honor Society member, a Science, English and Spanish Honor Society member; along with being a Class President and a Cheer Captain. Her dream is to major in pre-dental biology and ultimately aspires to be a Pediatric Dentist.
