I hope this message finds you and your family in good health.
Just taking a moment to thank the people of this community for stepping up and helping one another during these difficult times, especially our local nurses, doctors, first responders, healthcare and childcare workers and our schools and restaurants who have been supplying free meals to kids in need while they’re home from school.
So many of our local businesses and employees have been especially hit hard as we all work to stop the spread of coronavirus.
I’m working both in Albany and locally to provide some assistance, but there are ways we can all help our local businesses during this difficult time.
You can purchase gift cards from your favorite local businesses online or order food delivery from your favorite restaurants while we all do our best to stay healthy and safe.
Make no mistake, practicing social distancing can be very difficult, but the truth is this is a temporary situation, and we just need to do our best to stop the spread and protect those most vulnerable to the coronavirus. People like my parents, your parents and grandparents. Please continue following the guidelines provided by health experts at the federal, state and local levels, and I promise you, we will get through this together.
