Senator DeFrancisco Debates Budget Extenders - Senate Democrats Admit Excluding GOP From Budget

April 20, 2010

Senator John DeFrancisco (R,C,I Syracuse) discusses the admission by Senate Democrats that Republicans in the Senate and Assembly have not been invited to participate in secret, closed-door budget negotiations. The debate came during a discussion of a budget extender bill that, once again, did not include authority to fund important road, bridge and capital construction projects that employ thousands of people across the state. The lack of funding has resulted in many of those projects to come a halt, and people losing their jobs.
