Advocating for CHIPs Funding

I was proud to join local highway superintendents, transportation advocates and many of my colleagues in the State Legislature to call for increased funding in the state's CHIPs program in this year's state budget, and to support a multi-year investment to improve our state's aging infrastructure. CHIPs funding is critical for local governments and highway departments, providing them with needed state aid to repair area roads, bridges and culverts every year. By securing this funding, we can continue to work to provide taxpayers, residents and visitors of our state with the kinds of roads and bridges they deserve.
