Senator Parker Introduces Madame Lorna Golding

 The First Lady of Jamaica comes to the New York State Senate

(Albany, NY)  On June 16, 2011 Senator Parker had the wonderful opportunity of introducing Madame Lorna Golding, the First Lady of Jamaica to the New York State Senate. 

Ms. Lorna Golding, wife of Prime Minister Bruce Golding, is a champion for the advancement of early childhood education in Jamaica. Golding places a high priority in projects that advance the basic education, health and nutrition, and welfare of Jamaican children.

Coming from humble beginnings – her father was a farmer – she was imbued with strong values and ideals. Mrs. Golding is the founder and Chairperson of the Jamaica Early Childhood Development Foundation (JECDF) and patron of the Jamaica AIDS Foundation (JAF).
