Senator Gallivan rises on the Senate floor to speak on his Resolution in memory of Trooper Kevin Dobson.
“The entire New York State law enforcement community and all of Western New York have suffered a tremendous loss today. My thoughts and prayers are with the Dobson Family, especially his three young children and his father, Retired Lieutenant Richard Dobson of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, whom I had the high honor of serving with during my tenure as Sheriff of Erie County.
The New York State Police and law enforcement officers across the state are a family. When we lose one of our own; we suffer, we grieve and we move forward together. While nothing can be done to fill this sudden void in our hearts and the hearts of the Dobson family, I assure them that they too are part of the law enforcement community, and they needn’t mourn alone.”
