Senator Montgomery testifies at Community Board 2's Public Hearing on NYC's Borough-Based Jail System Proposal for Brooklyn

Senator Montgomery testifies at Community Board 2's Public Hearing on NYC's Borough-Based Jail System Proposal for Brooklyn and discusses the impact of sweeping criminal justice measures -  bail, discovery and speedy trial reforms -  that were adopted in the New York State Budget for FY 2019-2020.

“For those of you who think we don’t need any new jails, we sure don’t need the one in Brooklyn to double in size," said Senator Montgomery.
