MOURNING the death of Donald Gary Ford, dedicated
family man, distinguished citizen and devoted member
of his community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, It is with profound sorrow and deep regret this Legislative
Body records the passing of Donald Gary Ford on August 29, 2021, at the
age of 60, noting the significance of his purposeful life and
accomplishments; and

WHEREAS, Born on August 7, 1961 in Mount Kisco, New York, Donald
Gary Ford was the son of Donald and Carol (Lindquist) Ford; and

WHEREAS, Donald Gary Ford and the former Nancy Ball were united in
marriage on March 17, 1984; and

WHEREAS, Donald Gary Ford distinguished himself in his profession
and by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the
welfare of his community; he worked for his family business in Mount
Kisco for many years and was a proud member of the Union Hook and Ladder
Company for 42 years; and

WHEREAS, Above all, Donald Gary Ford loved spending time with his
cherished family, who motivated him to live to the fullest each and
every day; and

WHEREAS, Donald Gary Ford is survived by his parents, Carol
(Lindquist) Ford and Don Ford; his wife, Nancy Ball Ford; three sons,
Donald (Bonnie), Kevin (Venessa) and Brendan; two granddaughters, Molly
and Maggie; and his brother Allen Ford; as well as many nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends; and

WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Donald Gary
Ford's name is synonymous with character, dignity, depth, and humor,
qualities evident to his family and to all those who were fortunate
enough to have known him; he will be deeply missed and truly merits the
grateful tribute of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Donald Gary Ford, and to express its deepest
condolences to his family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Donald Gary Ford.
