The past year has placed a tremendous burden on our middle class. We’ve seen businesses close, jobs lost, opportunities dwindle, and hardworking New Yorkers forced to make difficult financial decisions. Now more than ever, we need relief and financial peace of mind.

Unfortunately, the governor's budget proposal will create even more harm.  As part of his plan, he wants to eliminate a $400 million middle class tax cut that many depend on.

If enacted, this proposal will cause further financial distress and force even more people to leave New York for opportunities elsewhere – and those of us who remain will foot an even bigger share of the bill.
