While ridesharing services, such as Uber and Lyft are available to New York City residents, the Hudson Valley has been left behind. That is why bringing ridesharing to residents in the Hudson Valley is one of my top legislative priorities.
For the last year, I have been a strong proponent of allowing transportation network companies to operate across the entire state of New York. I co-sponsored and voted for legislation in the State Senate to expand ridesharing services to Westchester and the Hudson Valley. Unfortunately, the bill was not given the green light before session adjourned in mid-June.
Now, I am asking for your help by signing my new online petition to get this legislation ratified and bring ridesharing services to Westchester and the Hudson Valley.
My petition urges Governor Cuomo and all of my colleagues in the State Legislature to adopt legislation to allow transportation network companies to operate across all of New York state, not just New York City. Your support can make all the difference in getting this proposal approved.
I encourage you to sign the petition below. Working together, we can send a strong message: it’s time to bring ridesharing to the Hudson Valley!
