SD25 Call for Student Art 2023-2024

The Office of New York State Senator Jabari Brisport is pleased to announce that we are looking for student work to install in our new district office! This juried body of work will highlight the wonderful art created by K-12 students in schools across Senate District 25. We are inviting principals and/or art teachers from any public school in SD25 to nominate up to three student works for consideration. School administrators will be notified of selections in early-June, with pick-up of the work to be scheduled before June 26.  

Nominations for student artwork will be accepted through Friday, May 31, 2024. Please read further for details on eligibility and how to submit: 

Student Eligibility 
1. Student must be enrolled in grades K-12 during the 2023-2024 school year.  
2. Student must be a resident of Senate District 25. 
3. Student must be enrolled in a public school in Senate District 25 during the 2023-2024 school year. 
 
Artwork Eligibility 
1. Artwork must be original work created by the student during the 2023-2024 school year. 
2. Artwork must be nominated by a school administrator and/or art teacher.  
3. Artwork must be two-dimensional. 
4. Artwork cannot exceed size of 12x18 in (Paintings larger than 12x18 in. will be considered, provided they are on a stretched canvas )  

To Submit Work for Nomination 
Complete our submission form by Friday, May 31, 2024.
 
Files must be uploaded as JPG and/or PNG files only. Please label works using the following naming convention:  
“Student First Name and Last Initial_Grade_School Name_Art Teacher First and Last Name” 
ie. “Soumya D_7_PS 000_Jabari Brisport” 

Works not submitted in the proper file format will not be considered.
