Senator Ortt's Plan to Clean Up Albany and Shake Up the Status Quo

June 02, 2016

Citizens are tired of the same old story.

Career politicians have taken our government from us.

Convicted elected officials from both political parties sit behind bars, while taxpayers pay for their pensions.

The Office of the Governor and New York City Mayor are currently under criminal investigation.

We send our elected officials to Albany…and they come back in handcuffs.

Enough is enough – we need a new ending!

That’s why, as part of my “Shake Up the Status Quo” Plan, I’m introducing and supporting bold new ethics measures.

My plan will require convicted politicians to surrender their taxpayer-financed pensions, impose term limits on elected officials, and introduce strict transparency and disclosure across state government.

Please let me know what you think. Together, we can shake up the status quo and restore New Yorkers’ faith in a government that has failed them, but a government that still belongs to them.

As part of my “Shake Up the Status Quo” Plan, I’m introducing and supporting bold new ethics measures.
