Nominate a Women of Distinction

HYDE PARK, NY – Senator Sue Serino announced today that she is seeking nominations for the New York State Senate’s prestigious Annual Woman of Distinction Award for the 41^st District. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, July 1, 2022.

“Our community is home to some incredible, trailblazing women, and it is an honor to be able to celebrate them through the Senate’s Annual Women of Distinction Award,” said Senator Sue Serino. “This year, I’m especially excited to be seeking nominations from individuals throughout the 41^st Senate District to learn more about the women who serve as an inspiration and that are truly making a difference here in Dutchess and Putnam counties. I encourage friends and neighbors to submit a nomination to help us recognize a local woman who goes above and beyond to contribute to our community.”

The New York State Senate Women of Distinction Award celebrates women from across New York State who greatly contribute to and improve the quality of life in both their local communities and across New York State.

Each year, the New York State Senate hosts an event celebrating the accomplishments of the honorees from each Senate District across the State. This year, the program will once again be virtual and will launch on Women’s Equality Day, Friday, August 26, 2022.
