HEARING ROOM B - LEGISLATIVE OFFICE BUILDING, ALBANY
Senate Finance Committee Chair Catharine M. Young and Assembly Ways and Means Committee Chair Helene E. Weinstein will hold the second hearing, in a series of 13 hearings, on the 2018-2019 Executive Budget on Wednesday, January 24th, at 9:30 a.m. in Hearing Room B of the Legislative Office Building, Albany.

During the Housing Hearing, New York State Homes and Community Renewal Commissioner RuthAnne Visnauskas will provide testimony to the Senate and Assembly fiscal committees as will representatives of various affordable housing advocacy groups.

 These joint hearings will continue through February 13th and will be available for viewing on the Senate and Assembly websites. The Legislative Channel (on cable systems throughout the state) also will carry the proceedings, which will be preempted when the houses are in session. At the conclusion of the legislative deliberations, the channel will resume televised coverage of the hearings.

Scheduled to provide testimony are New York State Association for Affordable Housing Executive Board Member Duncan Barrett, Neighborhood Preservation Coalition of New York State Executive Director Cara Long Corra, and Supportive Housing Network of New York Executive Director Laura Mascuch.

Also among those testifying are New York State Rural Advocates Director Blair Sebastian, New York State Rural Housing Coalition Inc. Executive Director Colin McKnight, New York Housing Conference Executive Director Rachel Fee, and Center for Disability Rights Manager of Government Affairs Gregg Beratan.
