Gianaris Honors Lewandowski

The Queens Gazette wrote about the State Senate's 15th annual Women of Distinction celebration, where Senator Gianaris honored Sheila Lewandowski.

State Senator Michael Gianaris honored Sheila Lewandowski of Long Island City’s The Chocolate Factory Theater as part of the state senate’s 15th annual Women of Distinction celebration on May 15 in Albany. Senator Kennedy, Library Officials Announce State Grants for Buffalo & Erie County Libraries

Buffalo Central Library Receives One of the Largest Grant Awards in the State

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Senator Timothy M. Kennedy, a member of the Senate Committee on Libraries, announced a significant state investment in local libraries Thursday at the Downtown Central Library. Joined by library officials and fellow state lawmakers, Senator Kennedy announced the state has directed $617,970 in construction and improvement grants to the Downtown Central Library, as part of the overall award of $740,000 to a total of four libraries in the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System.

Senator Martins Supports Elmont Memorial PTSA Art Show Fundraiser

State Senator Jack Martins was back in Elmont this past Friday evening supporting the Elmont Memorial High School PTSA Art Show Fundraiser. The art show showcased different styles and genres of art along with some special pieces from painted by students. Elmont residents bid on the pieces as an auctioneer called out bids throughout the evening. Senator Martins was successful in his bid for a 9-11 American Flag piece as well as a commemorative photo of Yankee Great Phil Rizzuto and singer Frank Sinatra.
