BENJAMIN, ALFANO, BARRA, ORTIZ, COLTON -- Multi- Sponsored by -- M. of A. HOOPER, WEISENBERG -- read once and referred to the Committee on Correction AN ACT to amend the correction law, in relation to requiring the divi- sion of criminal justice services to include information stating whether a sex offender is in violation of registration requirements THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (c) of subdivision 1 of section 168-b of the correction law, as amended by chapter 11 of the laws of 2002, is amended to read as follows: (c) A description of the offense for which the sex offender was convicted, the date of conviction [and], the sentence imposed AND WHETH- ER THE SEX OFFENDER IS IN VIOLATION OF THE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD05344-01-9
