LIFTON -- read once and referred to the Committee on Housing AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in relation to increasing the amount of members of the town of Lansing Housing Authority THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 547 of the public housing law, as added by chapter 570 of the laws of 1977, is amended to read as follows: S 547. Town of Lansing Housing Authority. A municipal housing author- ity, to be known as the Town of Lansing Housing Authority, is hereby created and established for the Town of Lansing in the county of Tomp- kins for the accomplishment of any or all of the purposes specified in article eighteen of the constitution of the state of New York. It shall constitute a body corporate and politic, be perpetual in duration and consist of [five] SEVEN members. It shall have the powers and duties now or hereafter conferred by this chapter upon municipal housing authori- ties. It shall be organized in the manner prescribed by and subject to the provisions of this chapter, and the authority, its members, officers and employees and its operations and activities shall in all respects be governed by the provisions of this chapter.
