TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 455 of the laws of 2011,
amending the environmental conservation law relating to authorizing
angling by a single individual with up to three lines in freshwater,
in relation to making the provisions thereof permanent

PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: Eliminates the expiration date and
makes permanent, provisions of law authorizing an individual to fish
with up to 3 lines in freshwater.

SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: This legislation amends chapter 455
of the laws of 2011, amending the environmental conservation law
relating to authorizing angling by a single individual with up to
three lines in freshwater, in relation to making provisions thereof
permanent.

JUSTIFICATION: The original legislation (Chapter 455, L. 2011)
expires on 3/31/13.

PRIOR LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: Chapter 455, L. 2011 None.

EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately.

AN ACT to amend chapter 455 of the laws of 2011, amending  the  environ-
  mental  conservation  law  relating to authorizing angling by a single
  individual with up to three lines in freshwater, in relation to making
  the provisions thereof permanent

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1. Section 2 of chapter 455 of the laws of 2011, amending the
environmental conservation law relating  to  authorizing  angling  by  a
single  individual  with  up to three lines in freshwater, is amended to
read as follows:
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately [and shall expire  and  be
deemed repealed December 31, 2013].
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
