BILL NUMBER:S3350 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to terminal leave PURPOSE: To provide uniformed members of the NYC Department of Correction and the NYC Department of Sanitation the option of taking a monetary payment in lieu of terminal leave SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 amends the administrative code of the City of New York through the addition of a new section 9-135 which relates to the terminal leave of uniformed personnel in the NYC Department of Correction. Section 2 amends the administrative code of the City of New York through the addition of a new section 16-141 which relates to the terminal leave of uniformed personnel in the NYC Department of Sanitation. Section 3 provides that this act shall take effect immediately.

GOLDEN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to terminal leave THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 9-135 to read as follows: S 9-135 TERMINAL LEAVE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL LAW, CODE, RESOLUTION OR CHARTER TO THE CONTRARY, UNIFORMED PERSONNEL OF THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION SHALL BE AFFORDED THE OPTION OF TAKING A MONETARY PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TERMINAL LEAVE AT THE RATE APPLICABLE ON THE DATE OF RETIREMENT. S 2. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 16-141 to read as follows: S 16-141 TERMINAL LEAVE.
