GUNTHER -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to exempting fire vehicles from the weight restrictions of other vehicles THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 385 of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by adding a new subdivision 23 to read as follows: 23. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL NOT APPLY TO ANY FIRE VEHI- CLE, AS SUCH TERM IS DEFINED IN SECTION ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN-A OF THIS CHAPTER. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
