HYNDMAN -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Education AN ACT to direct chancellors of city school districts, in cities having a population of one million or more, to examine and assess the feasi- bility of expanding the number and types of career and technical education schools and programs within such city school districts THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Each chancellor of a city school district, in a city having a population of one million or more, shall examine, evaluate and make recommendations concerning the feasibility, costs, benefits and means of expanding the number and types of career and technical education schools and programs within such city school district. § 2. Within one year of the effective date of this act, each such chancellor shall submit to the governor, the temporary president of the senate, the speaker of the assembly, the minority leader of the senate and the minority leader of the assembly, a report of his or her find- ings, conclusions and recommendations, and shall include with such report such legislative proposals as he or she deems necessary to imple- ment his or her recommendations. § 3.
