BILL NUMBER: S3307 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the state finance law, in relation to the rededication of unused funds in the New York state local government records management improvement fund PURPOSE : To require the rededication of unused funds in the New York state local government records management improvement fund SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section 1 amends § 94-i of the State Finance Law by adding a new subdivision stating that in all cases, no monies remaining in the fund shall be transferred or allocated, except for the purposes provided for under this section. Section 2 is the effective date. EXISTING LAW : Section 97-i of the State Finance law creates the New York State Local Government Management Improvement Fund consisting of revenues derived from the imposition of certain Department of Motor Vehicle fees issued by county clerks' offices.

Section 97-i of the state finance law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows: 5. IN ALL CASES, NO MONIES REMAINING IN THE FUND SHALL BE TRANSFERRED OR ALLOCATED, EXCEPT FOR THE PURPOSES PROVIDED FOR UNDER THIS SECTION. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
