S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 9264 I N A S S E M B L Y February 9, 2022 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. JEAN-PIERRE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to human rights violations by a real estate appraiser THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraphs k and l of subdivision 1 of section 160-u of the executive law, as amended by chapter 397 of the laws of 1991, are amended and a new paragraph m is added to read as follows: k. Violating the confidential nature of governmental records to which he or she gained access through employment or engagement as an appraiser by a governmental agency; [or] l. Entry of a final civil judgment against the person on grounds of fraud, misrepresentation or deceit in the making of any appraisal of real property[.]; OR M. VIOLATION OF ARTICLE FIFTEEN OF THE EXECUTIVE LAW COMMITTED IN HIS OR HER CAPACITY AS A REAL ESTATE APPRAISER. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
