HONORING Jeffery R. Capazzi, President and CEO of
The Jobin Organization, upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Founders Award by
the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug
Dependence, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize
those individuals within the State of New York who have shown a
dedicated commitment to improving the health and well-being of our
citizens; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jeffery R. Capazzi, President and CEO of The Jobin Organization, upon
the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Founders Award by
the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc., to be
celebrated at the 35th Annual Adele C. Smithers Angel Ball at the Oheka
Castle in Huntington, New York, on Monday, June 27, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1956 by R. Brinkley Smithers, the Long
Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (LICADD) is the
leading nonprofit organization on Long Island dedicated to addressing
the challenges of alcoholism and drug addiction, and promoting addiction
recovery; and

WHEREAS, Remaining true to its mission, the LICADD addresses the
addictive climate of our times by providing initial attention and
referral services to individuals, families, and children, through
intervention, education and professional guidance to overcome the
ravages of alcohol and other drug-related problems; and

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Jeffery R. Capazzi has given not only of his time and
energies but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Jeffery R. Capazzi has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jeffery R. Capazzi, President and CEO of The Jobin Organization,
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Founders Award
by the Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc.; and
be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jeffery R. Capazzi.
