HONORING Dr. Perry Frankel upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. Visionary Award by the International
Human Rights Commission on February 27, 2022

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend
individuals whose professional commitment and dedication enhance the
excellence of health care in their community and the great State of New
York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dr. Perry Frankel upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Visionary Award by the International
Human Rights Commission, in conjunction with the observance of Black
History Month; and

WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at its Gala on
Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the Sand Castle in Franklin Square, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s finest legacy of greater
social justice for all Americans was truly reflected in his devotion to
serve and respect others, and in his steadfast love for all humanity;
the Visionary Award recognizes those who exemplify his teaching and
spirit; Dr. Perry Frankel is one such individual and is truly deserving
of this prestigious award; and

WHEREAS, A graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine, where he was
valedictorian of his graduating class, Dr. Perry Frankel is Board
Certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Lipidology and is ICAEL
and ICAVL Accredited; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Perry Frankel served as the Chief Medical Resident at
Long Island Jewish Hospital before going into private practice in 1991;
and

WHEREAS, In 2008, Dr. Perry Frankel founded Advanced Cardiovascular
Diagnostics and through his role as Director, he has donated his time
and energies to his community in various capacities such as helping its
members achieve healthy hearts and active lives and by supporting them
through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Perry Frankel and his team at Advanced Cardiovascular
Diagnostics offer testing and confirmation of Covid-19 variants, and
provide boosters and vaccines for the families and faculty of more than
60 school districts; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his work with his practice and community,
Dr. Perry Frankel is a multi-state diagnostician who has served as the
Director of a major Echocardiogram and Vascular Ultrasound Laboratory
since 1996, and is a recognized national speaker on topics including
hyperlipidemia and hypertension; and


WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality of life in the communities across this great State of New
York is enriched by the diligence and compassionate commitment of those
individuals whose singular purpose is the care and welfare of others;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Perry Frankel upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Visionary Award by the
International Human Rights Commission on February 27, 2022; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr. Perry Frankel.
