BILL NUMBER: S991 SPONSOR: HOYLMAN TITLE OF BILL: An act directing the commissioner of the office of parks, recreation and historic preservation to provide for the re-designation of Donald J. Trump State Park, in Putnam and Westchester counties to a name other than Donald J. Trump State Park PURPOSE: This bill would direct the commissioner of the office of parks, recre- ation and historic preservation to rename Donald J. Trump State Park. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section I of the bill provides for the re-designation of Donald J. Trump State Park as well as the installation and maintenance of signage to this effect.

Trump State Park, in Putnam and Westchester counties to a new name SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 of the bill directs the Commissioner of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation to conduct a legal review of the re-designation of Donald J. Trump State Park. In the event it is determined that the legal authority exists, the Commissioner shall notify the Governor and Legislature and shall change the name of the park as well as install and maintain appropriate signage, and take any other administrative actions necessary to improve the park for the enjoyment of the public. Section 2 of the bill is the effective date.
