 AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
   relation to requirements on the construction of new housing for school
   district purposes

   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is  amended
 by adding a new section 28-105.12.14 to read as follows:
   §  28-105.12.14  DISCLOSURE  OF COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT INFORMATION.
 ANY APPLICATION  SUBMITTED  TO  THE  COMMISSIONER  PURSUANT  TO  SECTION
 28-105.5  OF  THIS  ARTICLE FOR A PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ANY NEW
 DWELLING, AS DEFINED IN SUBDIVISION FOUR OF SECTION FOUR OF THE MULTIPLE
 DWELLING LAW, OR FOR THE ADDITION TO, CHANGE OF USE OR OCCUPANCY OF,  OR
 RENOVATION  TO  AN EXISTING BUILDING THAT WILL CAUSE IT TO HAVE DWELLING
 UNITS, SHALL SPECIFY: (1) THE COMMUNITY SCHOOL  DISTRICT  IN  WHICH  THE
 DWELLING  OR DWELLING UNITS ARE LOCATED; (2) THE NUMBER OF FAMILIES THAT
 WILL OCCUPY THE DWELLING OR DWELLING UNITS; AND (3) AN ESTIMATE  OF  THE
 NUMBER  OF  CHILDREN OF COMPULSORY SCHOOL AGE, AS DEFINED IN SUBDIVISION
 ELEVEN OF SECTION TWO OF THE EDUCATION LAW, THAT WILL OCCUPY THE  DWELL-
 ING  OR DWELLING UNITS. NO LATER THAN TEN DAYS AFTER THE APPROVAL OF THE
 APPLICATION FOR THE PERMIT, THE COMMISSIONER SHALL FORWARD SUCH INFORMA-
 TION TO THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.
   THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS, IN CONJUNCTION  WITH  THE  DEPARTMENT  OF
 CITY  PLANNING,  SHALL PROMULGATE REGULATIONS FOR DETERMINING THE NUMBER
 OF ESTIMATED CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AUTHORIZED TO OCCUPY EACH NEW  DWELL-
 ING OR DWELLING UNIT.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
 it shall have become a law.
