 AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to requiring at least  one
   form of electronic means to verify voter registration at every polling
   place
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 8-302  of  the  election  law,  as
 amended  by  section  8 of part XX of chapter 55 of the laws of 2019, is
 amended and a new subdivision 1-a is added to read as follows:
   1-A. AT ALL ELECTIONS HELD PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CHAPTER,
 AT LEAST ONE FORM OF ELECTRONIC VERIFICATION OF VOTER REGISTRATION SHALL
 BE UTILIZED.
   2. The voter shall give the voter's name  and  the  voter's  residence
 address to the inspectors. An inspector shall then loudly and distinctly
 announce the name and residence of the voter AND VERIFY SUCH THROUGH THE
 ELECTRONIC MEANS REQUIRED UNDER SUBDIVISION ONE-A OF THIS SECTION.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
