   printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
 
 AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation  to  the  calculation  of
   selected  operating aid per pupil for the Boquet Valley central school
   district
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1.  Paragraph  d-1  of  subdivision 14 of section 3602 of the
 education law, as amended by section 10-a of part A of chapter 56 of the
 laws of 2024, is amended to read as follows:
   d-1. For purposes of paragraph d of this subdivision, "selected  oper-
 ating  aid  per  pupil"  shall  mean  the apportionment computed for the
 2006-07 school year, based on data on file with the commissioner  as  of
 the date upon which an electronic data file was created for the purposes
 of  compliance  with  paragraph  b  of subdivision twenty-one of section
 three hundred five of  this  chapter  on  February  fifteenth,  provided
 further  that  for  school  districts  which reorganize on or after July
 first, two thousand twenty-four OR AFTER JULY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND  NINE-
 TEEN  FOR  THE  BOQUET  VALLEY  CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, for purposes of
 paragraph d of this subdivision,  "selected  operating  aid  per  pupil"
 shall  mean  the total foundation aid base, as defined pursuant to para-
 graph j of subdivision one of this section, calculated as of the  effec-
 tive date of the reorganization.
   §  2.  This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
 if section 10-a of part A of chapter 56 of the laws of  2024  shall  not
 have  taken  effect  on or before such date then section one of this act
 shall take effect on the same date  and  in  the  same  manner  as  such
 section of the chapter of the laws of 2024, takes effect.
