 AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
   exempting  school  buses from certain regulations on the percentage of
   zero-emission vehicles in manufacturers' sales fleets
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. Section 19-0306-b of the environmental conservation law is
 amended by adding a new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
   6. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW, RULE OR REGULATION TO THE  CONTRARY,
 NO  REGULATION  RELATING  TO THE PERCENTAGE OF ZERO-EMISSION VEHICLES IN
 MANUFACTURERS' SALES  FLEETS  OF  MEDIUM-DUTY  AND  HEAVY-DUTY  VEHICLES
 ESTABLISHED OR ENFORCED PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL
 APPLY TO SCHOOL BUSES.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
