COMMEMORATING the 100th Anniversary of the Long
Lake Central School District

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of commitment and high achievement whose
purpose and endeavor have been dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in
the education of the youth of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Long Lake Central School
District, to be recognized at its Centennial Celebration on Friday, May
30, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Since its founding in 1925, the Long Lake Central School
District has been an institution dedicated to academic excellence,
student success, and community engagement; and

WHEREAS, For 100 years, the Long Lake Central School District has
provided a high-quality education, fostering a tradition of academic
distinction, innovation, and leadership among its students, faculty, and
staff; and

WHEREAS, Situated within the Adirondack Park, the Long Lake Central
School District offers a unique natural setting that enhances
environmental education and outdoor learning opportunities; and

WHEREAS, The Long Lake Central School District has consistently
upheld its commitment to maintain strong community ties, collaborating
with local organizations, such as the Long Lake Historical Society, to
preserve and celebrate the region's rich heritage; and

WHEREAS, Students and graduates of the Long Lake Central School
District are highly regarded for their excellence, which is a product of
diverse extracurricular activities and educational trips that extends
their academic experiences beyond the classroom; and

WHEREAS, The Long Lake Central School District is renowned for their
high graduation rates, low drop out rates, and high proficiency rates in
several subjects according to New York State standards; and

WHEREAS, The educators, administrators, and staff of the Long Lake
Central School District have played a vital role in shaping generations
of students, instilling in them the values of hard work, perseverance,
and intellectual curiosity; and

WHEREAS, The Long Lake Central School District's legacy of
educational excellence is a testament to the commitment and support of
its students, parents, teachers, administrators, alumni, and the entire
Long Lake and Hamilton County community; and

WHEREAS, In celebration of this historic milestone, the Long Lake
Central School District continues to inspire and empower future

generations, ensuring a bright and promising future for all who pass
through its halls; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Long Lake Central School
District, recognizing its outstanding contributions to education and the
community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Long Lake Central School District.
