ALBANY—At a ceremony in Albany on Tuesday, May 13, Senator Lee Zeldin (R,C,I—Shirley) presented the Honorable A. Gail Prudenti with the NYS Senate’s annual Woman of Distinction Award.
In her role as the Chief Administrative Judge of the Courts of New York State, Judge Prudenti manages the administration and operation of our state’s Unified Court System, making her responsible for a budget of over $2 billion, 3,600 state and local judges and 15,000 non-judicial employees in over 350 court locations around the state.
“Judge Prudenti is a community member whose influence extends far beyond the boundaries of the 3rd Senate District,” said Senator Zeldin. “Her unwavering commitment to justice makes her a model, not just for the women of our community, but for all New Yorkers. I am both humbled and honored to recognize her with this distinguished award.”
