Squadron Brings Together Brooklyn Community Members For ‘Participatory Governing’

NEW YORK’S 26TH STATE SENATE DISTRICT – State Senator Daniel Squadron hosted his annual Neighborhood Issues Town Hall in Brooklyn yesterday, December 2nd. The town hall was the second follow-up event to concerns heard at Squadron’s annual Community Convention, held this past April.

The Town Hall focused on local community issues, including parks & open space, libraries, healthcare, ethics reform, school overcrowding, and concerns around local development.

Squadron also released his annual Community Convention Follow-up Report (attached).

Last month, Squadron hosted the first of his Community Convention follow-up events -- an MTA Bus Town Hall on the Lower East Side -- and was joined by Public Advocate James, Comptroller Stringer, and Councilmember Chin.
